Even if I didn’t have a shift, I continued to help without being asked.” Her commitment led to strong references and ultimately secured her current role.

“I think we can be very competitive,” Hulfiia says. Her ultimate vision is a dedicated Ukrainian film program at the GFF, showcasing films made by Ukrainian-Canadians in Manitoba. This initiative would celebrate Ukrainian culture, provide a platform for local filmmakers, and strengthen Winnipeg as a creative hub.
