The Canadian Network for Equity and Racial Justice (CNERJ) organized a community gathering titled "Advancing Equity and Justice" in Halifax, Nova Scotia. The gathering aimed to foster discussions on anti-racism, decoloniality, and equity, providing a platform for community members to engage in meaningful conversations.

The event began with a respectful land acknowledgement, honoring the Mi'kmaq people as the traditional custodians of the land. Following this, the event moderator provided an overview of the day's agenda, setting the stage for a rich discussion on systemic barriers and actionable strategies for advancing decoloniality and equity.

The forum featured a panel of local experts and activists who shared unique insights into the challenges faced by the community, offering pathways to combat discrimination and hate.
