Job Opportunities in Winnipeg for Newcomers to Overcome their Economic Challenges
For newcomers seeking job opportunities in Winnipeg, the Economic Development Council for Manitoba Bilingual Municipalities (CDEM) is the key to kickstarting careers.
At St. Boniface Cathedral Hall, CDEM brought together job seekers and employers in an environment designed to connect, engage, and facilitate opportunities. Organizers understand that a 10-minute job interview is an important opportunity, so they arranged one-on-one sessions between employers and job seekers. It was an opportunity to create an impression and build a network.
Irina Ivanov Bissonnette, Director of Marketing and Communications at CDEM, said that the job fair in Winnipeg promises to bring a meaningful change for job seekers. "What makes this job fair particularly unique is its strong focus on newcomers to Winnipeg. According to Ivanov, many attendees are recent arrivals in the city, seeking to engage with various local employers in one convenient location. This presents an invaluable opportunity for newcomers to learn more about the local job market and explore the wide array of job opportunities available in Winnipeg."
Ivanov added what truly sets this job opportunity apart is its meticulous pre-registration process. "All participants have already registered, ensuring a tailored approach to matching job seekers with employers best suited to their skills and qualifications. The goal is to create ideal job matches that are beneficial to both job seekers and employers, promising a highly productive and successful event for all involved.
As Winnipeg continues to attract new talent and foster economic growth, this job fair represents a crucial step in connecting job seekers with employers and strengthening the local job market. The event is poised to provide a dynamic platform for newcomers and established residents alike to discover new employment opportunities and take their careers to the next level."
The job fair is more than just a place to submit resumes and fill out applications. It was a dynamic platform to network, learn, and discover Winnipeg's job market. Job fairs and other events can provide job seekers with tools and resources to overcome employment barriers.
