العيد هو يوم يحتفل به المسلمين من حول العالم, وفي البلدان الإسلامية يكون هذا اليوم عطلة رسمية,وعندما يقترب العيد يشعر المسلمون في وينيبيغ بصعوبة في إيجاد متطلبات العيد من السوق المحلي، لذلك تنظم المؤسسات غير الربحية بازار العيد ليعطو أفراد الجالية الإسلامية فرصة لإيجاد مايحتاجونه في مكان واح

المنصة المدنية إستضافة أماني قطان أمين سر الجمعية الكندية العربية في مانيتوبا وقالت: أكبر التحديات التي تواجهنا في وينيبيغ كجالية إسلامية عندما يقترب العيد نبدء في البحث عن أكلات وملابس العيد ليستشعر أبنائنا المعاني التي كنا نعيشها في أوطاننا, هذا البازار ساعدنا كثيراً في حل هذه المشكلة لأن المنظمين يعملون على تحضير كل لوازم العيد في هذا البازار 

قطان أضافت: مهما شرحنا للأطفال عن طقوس العيد لن يحسوا بها كما لو جربوها بأنفسهم, في البازار تجد الأطفال يشترون كل ما يحتاجونهم بأنفسهم وهذا يضيف إلى خبرتهم الكثير من المتعة والفرحة بقدوم العيد 

في القاعة الرياضية للمسجد الكبير في وينيبيغ نظمت بارتي شوشل هذا البازار لتسهم في توفير فرص لأصحاب المشاريع الصغيرة بعرض منتجاتهم وتفتح المجال لأفراد الجالية شراء متطلباتهم والشعور بمشاعر العيد في بلدهم الجديد وينيبيغ 

على صعيد اخر يسهم البازار بشكل كبير في جمع أفراد الجالية العربية والإسلامية . ويفتح المجال للتعرف على أصدقاء جدد ليقضون أيام العيد مع بعضهم فالكثير من الصداقات الرائعة بدأت من هذه الفعاليات. 

أطعمة وحنّة وملابس وإكسسوارات والكثير من المنتجات الأخرى كانت في بازار العيد, والأهم من ذلك شعر الأطفال بفرحة العيد وأمضوا أوقات لاتنسى

Eid is a day celebrated by Muslims around the world. In Muslim countries, this day is an official holiday, and as Eid approaches, Muslims in Winnipeg are finding it difficult to purchase the items they need to prepare.

That's why local non-profits organize the Eid Bazaar, allowing members of the Muslim community to find what they need in one place. Journalist Zuher Almusre from U Multicultural Channel spoke with Amani Katten, Secretary of the Canadian Arab Association of Manitoba. Katten said that the biggest challenge facing Winnipeg's Islamic community is that when holidays such as Eid approaches, finding items that make the celebration feel more like home is challenging. Katten adds the bazaar helps tremendously, as it's a collection of everything you need.

It's more than the convenience of having everything in one place. The celebration is an opportunity for Islamic families to share an aspect of culture that their children born in Canada would never experience otherwise. The bazaar contributes greatly to bringing together members of the Arab and Islamic communities. It opens the way to meet new friends and spend Eid with each other, as many wonderful friendships start at these events.

Held at the Grand Mosque in Winnipeg, this bazaar is also an opportunity for small business owners to showcase and sell their wares to the public. Food, henna, clothes, accessories and many other products were in the Eid bazaar. Most importantly, children felt the joy of Eid.
