Funds to Support Canadian and Haitian Youth Raised at the With Love Gala

A truly remarkable fundraising event took place in the heart of Winnipeg, Manitoba, at the iconic Canadian Museum for Human Rights, . The "With Love Gala," was hosted by the organization known as LiveDifferent. This enchanting evening celebrated life and is a testament to the power of compassion, storytelling, and entertainment. 

What made this gala even more extraordinary was its profound mission. With 100 per cent of the net proceeds dedicated to supporting youth in Canada and Haiti through LiveDifferent's programs, it promised to make a real difference in the lives of countless young people. 

Charles Roberts, CEO of LiveDifferent, emphasized this was a pivotal night. "We have gathered here to take a stand and come alongside youth across Canada, including our northern indigenous communities. Shockingly, 29 per cent of our young people in Canada who die each year, die by suicide. It's a crisis that not many people are talking about, and we are very encouraged and appreciative of the support we are receiving for our live program. With this support, we can reach high schools and communities to encourage you to realize that your life has purpose, you have value, and you can make a difference in the world. We are here to walk with you on this journey." 

Roberts added, "We have 15 funding requests that we are seeking help with. These requests include supporting youth through experiential leadership opportunities, assisting five indigenous communities with circle programs, and helping five young girls in Haiti who have been trapped in our freedom village for a year." 

For over two decades, LiveDifferent has transcended being a mere organization. It has evolved into a movement, touching the lives of over 1.7 million youth. Their mission? To help young individuals realize that life is fundamentally about people. LiveDifferent's driving force is to instill a sense of belonging, purpose, and the belief that every young person can contribute positively to the world. 

The "With Love Gala" was more than just a fundraising dinner; it was a celebration of hope, unity, and the immense potential within every young heart. As we reflect on this unforgettable evening, we are reminded that with love and compassion, we can indeed change the world—one young life at a time.
